Summary/Abstract: In this article we focus on creative behaviours of people in the organization, considered as complex system. As theoretical ground we use the resource based theory. The results of the research, are answering the question: what processes are responsible for the creative use of resources in the organization and, consequently, its competitive advantage? The results was received on the bases of critical literature analysis. In the article we present the concept of the dynamic approach to organizational learning in the conditions of ordinary and extraordinary management. How managers can take advantage of these processes effects the potential of competitiveness and thus the actual ability to achieve and maintain a competitive advantage by the organization. Superposition of two theoretical perspectives (complexity theory and the RBT) within the area of the research, helped to draw attention to a number of conclusions relevant to the management. In particular, in the field of theory, it is necessary to change the previously unquestioned assumptions about the organization as a system in equilibrium. From the perspective of complexity science emerges a different paradigm, based on the assumption that organizations must be far from equilibrium, i.e. on the edge of chaos, due to competition, self-organization and cooperation. The second conclusion, that is closer to the management practice, is the need for a new leadership approach in diversified corporations in the context of expected value added generated by the strategic units.
