Summary/Abstract: We present different notes signed by a person who loved literary history and genealogy. 1. Basile Alecsandri and the French traveler Hommaire de Hell. References to the Romanian poet appear in a Greek dictionary at the end of the nineteenth century, references probably to the "pedagogue" Philippe Fournaraki. 2. "The Gai" Alecsandri - play of words and letters between gay (= vesel) and Basile (= Vasile) in poet Mihai Eminesco. 3. An autograph letter in French from Basil Alecsandri - sent to a lady Smaranditsa, with a portrait of the poet. 4. Basile Alecsandri recommends the French doctor La Pommeraye.
