THE BOURGAS FESTIVAL “INCLUDE THE CITY” – ATTITUDES, PARTICIPANTS’ SATISFACTION AND SUGGESTIONS FOR FUTURE EDITIONS

Summary/Abstract: The main purpose of the paper is to present the findings about the host population’s and participants’ attitudes and assessments with regard to the organisation and promotion of both editions of Burgas Festival “Include the city”. The paper’ introduction puts stress on the social and economic impact of festivals on the host cities and countries. The core content of the paper includes the collected and analysed data about the main tasks of both surveys as follows: to investigate the audience awareness about the festival; to investigate the overall satisfaction with the “Include the city” festival organisation and promotion; to investigate the visitors’ and active participants’ opinion about the festival benefits for the city image as a festival site
