Summary/Abstract: An author points to necessity of conveying in a process of education of the modern Polish pedagogue also educational values of ancient philosophical and religious systems of China: Taoism, Confucianism and Mahayana Buddhism, that he attempts to present closely. It is dictated by the need of realization of fully humanistic model of teaching the pedagogues in a globalization period. Moreover, in the context of presence of large migration of the Vietnamese in Poland, knowledge of educational standards originated from ancient China, adapted and developed by neighbouring countries like: Korea, Vietnam and Japan, is highly desirable. Also educational models of Taoism, Confucianism and Buddhism discussed by the author manifest more and more frequently in various ways in mass culture and affect particularly young people. It would be advisable to get to know them more thoroughly realizing both advantages and potential dangers related to them, as their unquestioning acceptance without deeper understanding and knowledge of cultural context may appear to be a way of destruction, not self-realization.
