Summary/Abstract: The workers exercise their right to manage the enterprises in which they work either directly or through their representative bodies — workers’ councils and managing boards. Workers’ councils are formed in all economic organizations which employ more than 7 persons. In collectives with over 30 employed workers’ councils are elected, the minimum number of elected members being 15 and the maximum 120. Collectives employing from 7 to 29 persons do not elect workers’ councils since these are composed of all members of such collectives who have the right to vote.
