Summary/Abstract: In the period 1958—1962, despite a certain slow-down in the rate of economic growth in 1961 and 1962, substantial results were achieved in all sectors of the economy. As a result of a general rise in production, particularly in industry and agriculture, total national product and national income in the period under survey recorded a real increase of close to 50 per cent, so that the average annual rate of growth amounted to about 8 per cent, which shows the fast pace of economic development in these years.
