Summary/Abstract: Throughout 1962, efforts were continued in Yugoslavia to improve medical care and the organization of the health service, and to implement more directly the fundamental principles laid down by the General Law and republican laws pertaining to medical care and the health service. As a result of the continued investment of substantial sums from health insurance funds and other sources in medical care and the development of the health service, the material conditions for the improvement of national health, and the provision of medical care for all categories of the population were considerably expanded and strengthened.
