Summary/Abstract: The Yugoslav Red Cross is a voluntary humanitarian organization concerned with health, welfare and educational work. The present organization and work of the Yugoslav Red Cross is regulated by the 1966 Red Cross Act, the 1967 Red Cross Emblem Act, and the organization’s statute.1 The Yugoslav Red Cross is a member of international Red Cross organizations — the League of Red Cross Societies (it is represented on almost all committees and at all levels of the League) and cooperates with the International Committee of the Red Cross, and other national Red Cross societies in the realization of the Red Cross program, international aid actions, and the promotion and observance of international humanitarian agreements.
