Three Anniversaries at the Jan Stanislav Institute of Slavic Studies in Bratislava

Summary/Abstract: In 2016 the Jan Stanislav Institute of Slavic Studies at the Slovak Academy of Sciences celebrated three significant anniversaries which were commemorated at the Second Congress of Slovak Slavicists in Bratislava. The article presents the events related to the celebration of the Institute’s 20th anniversary, the 110th birth anniversary of Prof. Jan Stanislav, Doyen of Slavic Studies in Slovakia, and the 50th anniversary of the journal Slavica Slovaca, the Institute’s main academic publication.
