Summary/Abstract: In April 2013, the representatives of the Council of Europe and the European Union finalized the draft Accession Agreement that would allow the EU to accede to Convention. Taking the draft Accession Agreement as a starting point, this paper examines the co-respondent mechanism. After identifying the main features of the given mechanism, this paper aims to assess an extent to which the correspondent mechanism as determined by the given draft is capable to achieve the anticipated goals.
