Summary/Abstract: In 18th century first theories of childhood were created and was it a turning point to consider childhood as a period, which requires its own, approved needs. According to Postman, the whole idea of education, which is currently limited to prepare youngsters to take their own place in economic life of a community in order to let them be devoted consumers. What kind of attitude should be taken by a teacher, and in what way should he shape a contemporary young man?
