Summary/Abstract: The Mental Health Index (KIDSCREEN-10) is a non-clinical measure of positive mental health and general well-being in children and adolescents. It captures the child’s perspective on his or her physical, emotional, mental and social well-being thus reflecting the major global components of healthrelated quality of life. The Mental Health Index was applied to 11, 13 and 15-aged Bulgarian students for a second time in a national representative study that is part of the international network “Health behavior in school-aged children”. Binary logistic regression models were used to estimate the independent impact of factors in context. The analyses demonstrated the importance of family relationships as well as subjective perception of family well off, school pressure and peers on subjective well-being in adolescents.
