The main trends of development of vocal variety art of Ukraine: the 60-70-ies of the 20th century

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the research is to study socio-cultural conditions, which influenced formation, changes and transformation of musical styles and art forms of vocal variety art in the 60-70s of the 20th century. The research methodology is based on historical, cultural, socio-cultural, chronological, retrospective methods, as well as methods of systematization and analysis that allowed us to consider the socio-cultural conditions of the formation of vocal variety art in the 1960s and 1970s in Ukraine. Scientific novelty. For the first time, the formation of the vocal variety art as an artistic phenomenon, and not as a component of mass culture, has been analyzed. Conclusions. In the 60-70’s of the 20th century genre and style of the variety art of Ukraine were renewed. As a result of the "depressurization" of the Soviet society in the period of the "thaw" and the reduction of ideological pressure, Western influences intensified, which led to the penetration and assimilation of Western musical styles into the Soviet and Ukrainian variety art, including twist, rock-n-roll, big beat, fusion, disco. This period is marked by style pluralism of musical trends, including folklore wave, rock music (VIA), "theater of a song", music of bards, etc. 60-70th years of the 20th century is the golden age of Ukrainian vocal variety art, marked by an organic combination of Western influences with national traditions.
