Summary/Abstract: The Council of Europe Convention on Cybercrime is a treaty in the field of criminal justice that establishescriminal law provisions based on the principles of the rule of law and human rights. The Convention has arelatively broad scope. Convention offences are grouped into four categories. The Council of EuropeConvention on Cybercrime criminalizes criminal behaviours in the late 1990s. Thus, in the sixteen yearsof the Convention, new offences have arisen, and an update of the Convention is absolutely necessary.
