Summary/Abstract: Key musicianship skills are categorised by reference to the syllabi of major music examining boards. The term, e-learning is defined and its advantages are considered. E-MusicMaestro is explored, as an online resource offering training, testing and practice in key musicianship skills, guiding music teachers in their professional role and helping parents of musical children to provide a home environment that supports musical learning. The role that E-MusicMaestro resources play in contributing to musical awareness and skill acquisition is outlined in relation to relevant theories of learning and the range of resources is discussed and evaluated.
