Summary/Abstract: In the Romanian educational landscape, the music reserves, condescendingly, a privileged position due to the tradition established in the inter-war period and also to the reverberations of the communist era. The musical education should not be considered a control desk, but a necessity; in Romanian schools it occurs in various forms of organization, associated to the general education, on the one hand, and to the vocational education, on the other hand. The new situation of the pedagogical intentionality in teaching disciplines surpasses the state of performing capacity development and the knowledge of the musical language elements, and also of some instrumental techniques. A new typology of pedagogical actions is also determined by the answer to the question „why is the reception of music necessary?” and also by the motivation of the reception act. Primacy in the hierarchical system of motivations is held by the fundamental formation of the aesthetic taste and by the cultivation of admiration for the work of art (Bârlogeanu, 2001). The extended coverage of musical education totals the intentions and reasons for change, without the possibility of arguing, in the actual modern culture, through anybody’s authority. The reality of the transition between eras is no longer anchored in defending the critical judgment and in acquisitions with definitive character.Making music is an experience generated by an aesthetic involvement in creative activities assigned to the production and representation of sounds. The computer is a device capable of generating a sound initiation process and an effective manipulator of the musical symbols, thus the fair character of producing music becoming clear. It provides assistance to musicians in several ways, helping them to develop their musical skills, to create and change sounds, inter-mediating the communication of musical expression. The students’ ability to produce presentations as audio recordings, and not only texts, creates the premises for integrating musical examples and the capacity to express themselves. For example, in a multimedia lecture, a student can extract a sequential musical example from a live version and illustrate vocal timbre changes, observations and results. In this context, the paper presents a study regarding the opinions of the teachers from the field of Music and Arts on using new technologies for teaching artistic disciplines. The study has been accomplished in the frame of the project POSDRU/19/1.3/G/37002: „EDUTIC – A network for teachers’ continuous professional development with the view to increase the efficiency of ICT implementation and the quality assurance of computer assisted education in the Romanian primary and secondary education” promoted by Valahia University of Targoviste (Gorghiu et al., 2012).
