The Roman city of the Upper Empire of Ibida (Lower Moesia). Historical Considerations accord-ing to the Epigraphic Collection

Summary/Abstract: The excavations carried out in the Roman settlement of Ibida (Moesia Inferior) have revealed a big late Roman city. The results of the excavations do not attest the traces of an early Roman city, but the tombs and the inscriptions are prooving its existence. I shall re-examine the inscriptions of Ibida, in order to establish the character and the role of the city during the Early Roman Empire.
