Summary/Abstract: The article is dedicated to introducing the concept of «artistic experiment” in modern aesthetical and artistic discourse. The contemporary German philosopher Wolfgang Welsch’s work «Our post-modern modern” presents the idea of consolidating plurality as the main characteristic feature of the postmodern. W. Welsch’s research of postmodern tendencies in Western philosophical, cultural, aesthetical concepts and artistic practice makes it possible to characterize postmodern artistic experiment as a phenomenon of contemporary culture. Plurality is presented as the specific characteristic, which defined all other features of postmodern artistic experiment.
