Rayna Kabaivanska had a colorful and charismatic father

Summary/Abstract: The opera diva Rayna Kabaivanska, born in Bourgas, is one of the most significant world soprano singers during the second half of the twentieth century. Another equally interesting and unusual person is her father, Yatcho Kabaivansky: a veterinarian, an university professor, General Director of tourism, and founder of “Balkantourist“ - the first tourist company in Bulgaria. Few people nowadays are aware that he used to be a writer, too.
