Summary/Abstract: As the ancient saying stays „The heart of the human problem is the problem of the human heart”. Biblical authors seem to be aware of true of this proverb and there are several texts in the Bible that deal with it. Human beings in the Bible very often strive in vain trying to improve the condition of their sinful heart. Even God seems to be hopeless when dealing with the iniquity of human heart. However, “God is greater than our hearts” (1Jo 3,20). In this paper we focus on three biblical texts (Gen 6,5; 8,21; Ezek 36,26) in order to show certain evolution in God’s confrontation with the mystery of human heart.
