Summary/Abstract: The subject of the study is the management of innovation activities at industrial enterprises. The purpose of writing this article is to study the peculiarities of the development of management of the innovative activity of an industrial enterprise. Method or methodology of work. The basis of the work is a systematic approach to the analysis of the development of innovation management and innovation management. In the study and substantiation of the essence of theoretical concepts, the method of scientific abstraction was used. The information base was the scientific works of domestic and foreign economists, regulatory and legal acts regulating issues in the field of innovation activity management, etc. Results of work: the main aspects of the concept of innovation activity are defined; the peculiarities of the essence and significance of existing interpretations of concepts such as «innovation management» and «innovation management» are analyzed; the mechanisms of management of innovations are defined: strategic and operational; the analysis of stages of management of innovations; It is determined that the most optimal methods of innovation management are management of goals and network method. Scope of application: state and regional management of innovation development, science, education. Conclusions To summarize, it should be noted that the achievement of the goal requires the solution of the tasks, including: analysis of existing models of development of enterprise innovation; analysis of models of development of innovative activity and methods of evaluation of these indicators, determining the possibilities of their application in the modern economy; identification of problems and perspectives of development of innovation activity, determination of the current state of innovation activity of the enterprise; development of the model of management of innovative activity of the enterprise; definition of priority directions of development of innovation activity of the enterprise, etc.
