Summary/Abstract: This paper aims to present some statistical data on the urban population of Tulcea County in the 1930s. The main resources used for this purpose include the 1934-1940 Statistical Yearbooks of Romania published by The Central Institute of Statistics, studies written by Sabin Manuilă and Monografia Judeţului Tulcea (The Tulcea County Monograph), a little known unpublished manuscript authored in 1938 by Const. A. Cristofor, director of the Tulcea branch of the National Bank of Romania (1937-1940).
