Digitization and Promotion of the Library Collections of “Aprilov - Palauzov” Regional Library of Gabrovo Savina Tzoneva

Summary/Abstract: The article presents the experience of the “Aprilov – Palauzov” Regional Library in the digitization, as well as attractive and modern ways of unconventional presentation of the rich book fund about local history. Modern librarians face the challenge of meeting the requirements of new generation readers by using attractive approaches to revealing the unique collections owned by the library. Presenting some of it on the Internet is one of the ways to display “treasures” from library funds to more users, attract new readers to the library, and encourage online use.
