Summary/Abstract: This study argues that in Pazar Laz, all verb types have a transitive syntax involving both an initiator and an undergoer. Thus, there are no truly intransitive verbs, such as unaccusatives and unergatives. All eventualities are argued to involve a relationship between an initiator and an undergoer and are strictly mapped onto syntax transitively in Pazar Laz.
