NATO and Energy Security. Present and Future

Summary/Abstract: Energy resources had permanently and strongly influenced the evolution of human society and economic development at national, regional and global level. In these conditions, NATO needs to clarify its role and involvement in energy security problems of all sorts. Protection of energy infrastructure will be, more and more, a future major mission for Alliance. But the goal of ensuring NATO’s energy security can be accomplished only by means of extensive cooperation with other partners and international security organizations.
