Summary/Abstract: Argentina, at least so far, has no evident reason to cry for Cavallo’s neoliberalism (with all the controversies of this specifi c Argentinean model) since the (moderate) left socio-economic policies of Kirchner have fundamentally and effi ciently stabilized the Argentinean economy and society. Kirchner’s success and Cavallo’s failure (the Argentinean scenario) have essentially undermined the Washington Consensus as an “action plan” of the neo-liberal globalization.
