Summary/Abstract: The article publishes a rather unusual object – a bronze disk with relief images in round medallions, imitating the obverse and the reverse sides of the Turkish coins of big value dated by the second half of XVIII c. It is suggested that this occasional finding from Tiraspol’s neighbourhoods is an example of counterfeiter’s work, who attempted to create a patrix while staying with the Russian army troops deployed there during the war with the Ottoman Empire in 1768-1774.
