Summary/Abstract: Although the present humanitary intervention concept has a long history we can săy that it is characterized by several essential eras in its evolution. This work tends to analyse the contribution that Lybias’ case had in redifîning international interventionism and what were that overcame conceptual barriers throught this step. We have also tried to demonstrate that we are wittnesses to the institution of the humanitary intervention notion by adopting a set of principles which form a veritable legal norm based on the ideea that humanitary intervention is not a right of the states but o true responșibility to protect. Increasing legitimacy and incidence of humanitary intevention by force în the 90’s has determined the reviși on of the sovreignity notion.
