Summary/Abstract: Experiential learning during undergraduate studies, which is realized through student practice, although it has a key role in their education, has not yet gained its rightful place and role in preparing students for their profession. The reasons for this are multifaceted. Firstly, the faculties are faced with the problem of finding appropriate institutions for the practice of their students. Secondly, the institutions face inadequate space to accommodate larger numbers of students and insufficient number of employees limiting their opportunities to provide mentors to students. Third, in the institutions there are no trained staff for keeping and supervising students throughout their practice. Most mentors find themselves in the role of instructors quite randomly. All this leads to the inadmissible formalization of this particularly important educational activity in which students "experience" the future of their profession. Students are dissatisfied with the way they treat and practice their practice, and they usually look for a way and how to avoid it, and yet get the necessary "confirmation". The aim of this paper is to emphasize the importance of students' practice, experiences and opinions for this educational activity and the skills of field instructors who have the most important role of "the path from an incompetent, unqualified student to a competent and qualified practitioner".
