Summary/Abstract: The paper is devoted to two Stone Age sites recently studied in the valleys of Sarata and Kogylnyk rivers. Their assemblages are not numerous but come from stratified sequences. Complex analysis of geomorphology, stratigraphy and fossil pollen spectra permit us to attribute both sites to the end of Pleistocene. Both sequences contain data on Extreme Inundations Epoch — a series of rapid climatic events that profoundly influenced the climate and landscape of the region.
