The standard of the “average consumer” and the consent to process the personal data

Summary/Abstract: This study represents a critical analysis of the requirements and effects of consumer’s consent to processing of personal data, in the framework of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, with reference to the „average consumer” standard of protection.
