Summary/Abstract: In the 20th century, starting eighties, the discourse about relevance of applying conventional analytical approaches to practice of interpretation is under the question. Simultaneously with the increased interest in performance studies appear different perceptions of the relationship score – analysis, and more examples in which analysis and performance emerge together as a not completely separate activity. Is the synergy of intuitive knowledge of performance practice with analytical tools has led to solely performance-oriented research, or is this step into solipsism has been the result of supression of erudition of older analytical practice? Or it is the reflection of the crisis in the rethinking music, in general? In this paper the current researches in analysis interpretation – performance relation it will be discussed as a challenge in reconsidering musicological and theoretical methods.
