Summary/Abstract: Economic system is based on contractual process of exchange of goods and services for equivalent amount of money. In case when one side violates the contract, not fulfilling his/hers liabilities, then the system becomes unsustainable and it collapses. In time when contractual relationships were based on cash and natural exchange, term indebtness was not known. Thus, in that time there was no need to create system of rules and procedures that would regulate relationship between parties in case of indebtness. Creation of credit system caused the need to establish system of rules and procedures for regulation of indebtness problem which resulted in establishment of bankruptcy system.Bankruptcy represents the outcome of business difficulties preceded by years of financial weakening. Due to the fact that bankruptcy is regulated by legal regulation it sets up a confidence that claims, defined in prior contracts, will be reimbursed Bankruptcy system creates safety at the market offering companies opportunity to recover by promoting responsible corporative behavior in light of companies' obligations. Bankruptcy, through the model of reorganization, provides an opportunity for companies to stabilize itself and to continue business running on healthy basis. This research was conducted in order to check the link between reorganization and bankruptcy. Goal of the research was to investigate process of reorganization in bankruptcy as well as the fact whether this process enables continuance of companies' business running in B&H.
