Summary/Abstract: The samples of ‘motion’ principle have differences in terms of periods, currents and artists, thus the differences give richness in expression of the painting. In addition, motion principle has an impact on the formation of the artist’s personal style. This study aims at revealing the relationship between the motion principle and the line, form and colour which are also considered as the design elements that form the base of the painting. For this reason the motion principle was evaluated via the works of the artists who features the bird figure in terms of Contemporary Turkish Painting Art. Painters who use bird figure in their paintings revealed sometimes realistic motion, sometimes expressionistic or abstractive approaches from their own perspectives. This case also great importance in the analysis of the painter perspectives of the bird figure.
