TRAVEL WRITINGS OF DUBROVNIK IN THE LATE 19th AND EARLY 20th CENTURY

Summary/Abstract: Travel writings of Dubrovnik published in Delo and Brankovo kolo at the turn of the 19th into the 20th century are designed as an informative guide through the past and the present times of the city of St. Blaise. Interweaving the historical reminiscences and images of modem Dubrovnik, travel writes indirectly indicate that the present is in itself a mirror of the past and that the entire tradition of Dubrovnik is an important part of the historical memory of the Serbian people.
