Summary/Abstract: The article presents the analysis of some epochal symbols introduced in Y. Yevtushenko’s poem “Mum and the Neutron Bomb” (1982). Creative approaches and their realization made by the author are shown regarding the common course of the 60’s traditions which the author was outstandingly following. The variety of perspectives and the specifics of expression means allow to compare the poem with a symphony. Semiotic approach enables the analysis of symbols introduced considering the epochal connections and the author’s creative self-realization, it also helps to stress the common and the particular from the different perception aspects (1) creation time – the 20th century: reading time the 20th century and (2) creation time – the 20th century: reading time the 21st century.
