Summary/Abstract: The article studies the peculiarities of the artistic meaningfulness of the problem of «new» and «previous» in story «Blast-furnaces» by D. Buzok. In the centre of attention are the stylistic techniques, artistic details, used by the author for the purpose of studying the problem of «new» and «previous»; instruments of psychologies. The composition is analyzed in the context of the Ukrainian prose of the beginning of the XX-th century.
