Summary/Abstract: The aim of this research was to summarize the metaanalysis regarding the efficacy of sex offenders and to show methodological problems associated with the evaluation of its effects. It is also presented how positive psychology models’ impact on efficacy of rapists’ treatment. Applying the typology of rapists in the treatment, allows better use of clinical resources targeted to the needs of specific rapists’ subtypes and not to the rapists as a group. Understanding the personality of each rapist subtype could be crucial in determining the purpose of the therapy, conduct proper treatment focuses both on interpersonal qualities, as well as criminal offenses.
