Summary/Abstract: Nowadays the theatre performances present more and more effects based on technical equipment from the world of filmmaking. In fact this interest is influenced obviously by the tendency of ‘re-theatralisation’, however, it results in benefits in the overall budget of the show too. The projected picture can be an integral part of the toolkit of the conception or it can confront with the other elements of the performance. With the techniques of filming, the director can present in a huge auditorium the extreme close up (Gregory Doran’s “Hamlet”), can swamp the stage with surreal visions of the arrival of the Satan (Simon McBurney’s “The Master and Margarita”), or can mix interviews of documentary movies with real-time acting (Brokentalker’s “Blue Boy”). Furthermore, these productions try to utilize the opportunities of the change of two and three dimensions (Gábor Tompa’s “Waiting for Godot”) or the difference between the real and broadcasted image of our everyday life (Csaba Székely’s “Bányavirág”).
