Summary/Abstract: This essay represents a thematically structured, in brief or lengthy comments, selection of excerpts from some of Parisienne newspapers and reviews: Le Monde, Le Figaro, Le Figaro Magazine, Nouvelles litteraires, Histoire and International Herald Tribune in the period from 1979 to 1981. As any other, this selection is just one of many possible selections because it was formed out of two dualities: selection and number of sources, and selection and number of excerpts. Due to this very liberal mosaic, the essay represents a subjective conspectus of the ≫objective≪, or rather, original elements, gathered in impressions of some aspects of the intellectual reality of France. This includes comments philosophy, science and technology, politics, reviews and Gallic-Anglosaxon antagonism. These comments are rather indications than analytic conclusions, but by this modest function they can contribute to an easier orientation in a panorama of a very complex and subtle intellectual milieu as is French, or rather Parisienne.
