Summary/Abstract: Study of cognitive processes and human perspective in world perception is the key idea of the modern scientific paradigm. Leading position within anthropocentric paradigm belongs to cognitive approach that focuses on the ways of world perception, processes of thinking, information storage and processing, formation of knowledge structures and their representation in areas of human perception and linguistic units. The language role in human perception processes is being researched in the area of linguistics as well as in the area of literature. Studies of literary texts in cognitive aspect are encompassed by cognitive poetics, which has been formed in recent decades. Reference to literature as to an art and understanding of literary text in terms of an interrelation of a text and a reader represents one of the ways for creative perception of the world, leads to emphasizing on significant position of figurative devices of language, among which metaphor as a cognitive mechanism for creation of concepts is in the center of attention. The article is addressed to cognitive aspects of meta¬phorization related to perception and conceptualization of human emotions based on material of literary text. The research focused on informational content of the concept of love, described in the novel Felix Austria by Sopia An-drukhovych, its lexical representation, the specific features related to the author’s individual comprehension of the world as well as unique national features attracting interest from this perspective. The aim of the research is to explore cognitive mechanisms through semantic of linguistic signs, which influence the definition of human role in a society, decision making process, and, conse¬quently, actions. The article shows how the actions of a person depend on his/her interpretation of emotions and events.
