Summary/Abstract: The impact of corruption on investment is a topic of intensive econometric analysis. The nature of the impact of corruption on investment is currently being investigated. A panel analysis of the data has examined the curvilinear impact of corruption on investment. The results of the study confirm the hypothesis that corruption affects non-linear investment. The consequence of this is that the change in corruption results in different incremental investments, and this depends on the initial level of corruption in the economy. In corrupt countries, the reduction of corruption will result in much larger investment increments than in less corrupt states. The main added value of the work is to carry out in-depth analysis of the literature of the subject, which has been evaluated each time and conducted econometric studies with the proposition of a form of function describing per capita investments.
