Summary/Abstract: In this study, new tumuli and rock tomb samples of the Caystrus Plain (Küçük Menderes) located in the ancient Lydian region, which have been discovered in recent years, are introduced. These grave monuments in this fertile plain, the so-called Kaystrianon Pedion between Tmolos (Bozdağlar) and Messogis Mountain range (Aydin Dağları), are important reminders to the present of the influential and rich Lydians. These examples are typical with the dromos, single, sometimes double rooms, elaborate masonry, pitched or flat roofs, rectangular cut stone blocks and rarely crepis walls. In the rock-cut tombs, planned as single or double rooms, there are kline and chamasorium arrangements. The absence of any samples with niche and arcosolium strengthens the impression that these structures dates to pre-Roman period. It is also a strong possibility that these rock-cut tombs requiring a very heavy workmanship and construction process may have been used for multiple burial in the late periods.
