The Structure of Revenues and Expenditures of Local Government Units and the Increase in Public Indebtedness

Summary/Abstract: This study concerns the public sector debt in the scope of revenues and expenditures of local government units. The study is a compendium that can be used in shaping public policy taking into account all decision-making levels, including state organization, redistribution and allocation of public funds. The research, which has a quantitative character, was based on data of the Ministry of Finance covering the time series up to 1999. The relational-indicative analysis, using the measures of location, dynamics and correlation, was embedded in the system: commune, poviat, city, province.
