Summary/Abstract: The accession of Italy to the Entente’s site of the war in 1915, created a new front of military activities. The taken actions made a large inflow of Slav captives, also Poles, who served in Austro-Hungarian army. Heavy camp conditions and the severity of Austrian officers against common soldiers arouse a willing to help at Polish activists living in Italy. The treatments concerned in the question of improvement of conditions, made the consent of the Italian authorities for the separation of Polish prisoners from other prisoners. The main aim of this article is to show what was the everyday life of Polish prisoners from the arrival to the camp till the reversion to the new created Polish army in France.
