Summary/Abstract: Based on documentation and field research from 2016 and 2018, 185 necropolises and old tombs were recorded in the Tuzla Canton area with a total of 1509 tombstones. The current state of preservation of old tombstones is at a very low level both in the Tuzla Canton area and throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina. Field research has found that a large number of necropolises with old tombstones are in poor condition.
