POSSIBILITIES OF EFFECTIVE DEPLOYMENT OF MILITARY MOBILE MEDICAL TREATMENT FACILITIES INTO OPERATIONS OF INTERNATIONAL CRISIS MANAGEMENT

Summary/Abstract: The primary role of medical support in MKM missions and operations isto ensure provision of urgent and life-saving healthcare. The quality of theprovided health support is perceived with great sensitivity by members of theArmed Forces of the Slovak Republic (AF SR) who are deployed on MKMmissions and operations. As some member states of the various MKM organisations have problems with providing adequate and sufficiently robustmedical support it is a global trend to seek international solutions in thisproblematic area. The purpose of this article is, therefore, to find space for international cooperation in assurance of health support for the military troopsengaged in MKM missions and operations. This theme is also addressed bythe author in his dissertation thesis in the context of his doctoral course, andthis article includes part of the interim conclusions arrived at in this area.
