Summary/Abstract: The liberation of the Pirin region from Turkish slavery and its unification with the free Bulgarian State, in October 1912, give a new push to the development of the educational activities in Petritch and the region. New schools are opened and the old ones reconstructed, enlarged and made consistent with the requirements of the National Education Law drafted by the National Assembly in 1909.
