Summary/Abstract: This study aims to discuss a number of issues regarding the commemoration of elderly people in the north-eastern part of Moesia Inferior. Epitaph frequency varies from region to region, depending on the cultural background, gender, social status and age. Such information enables us to discover and explore the characteristics of Roman provincial society’s attitudes towards the elderly.
