Summary/Abstract: The development of electromobility is one of the dominant trends in modern transport. The usage of electric vehicles can be noticed both in the case of passenger cars as well as public transport. The article presents the basic legal acts regarding this issue and strategies that assume the development of the use of electric vehicles in public transport in Poland. Also selected Polish cities have been analysed, in which the concept of replacing the rolling stock with a modern and ecological ones, which can include electric buses, is implemented.
